Hi, and welcome to the Soul Attention website!

Here you’ll find information about the spiritual direction and prayer retreats I facilitate.

My name is Nicky Chiswell. I’ve been following Jesus for over 50 years and am a graduate of the SELAH Certificate in Spiritual Direction. My journey with spiritual direction began 25 years ago as a directee, and in 2021 I sensed God’s call to train as a director myself. I remain committed to ongoing growth through receiving direction, monthly supervision, and regular connection with other directors.

I also facilitate prayer retreats (something I’ve benefitted from since 2011) and have written an eBook and recorded an album, REAL SELF :: REAL GOD, to help people overcome barriers to authentic prayer. As a singer-songwriter and worship leader, I love helping people encounter God’s presence through music, prayer, and worship.

I live in Melbourne with my husband Graeme, Lead Pastor at City on a Hill Craigieburn, where I help cultivate a culture of prayer in our growing church community. Alongside spiritual direction, I work as a psychologist in private practice (www.nickychiswellpsychology.com).

I am also part of the Order of the Mustard Seed, within the global 24/7 Prayer Movement, committed to living out vows of prayer, mission, and justice (www.orderofthemustardseed.com).
